"Hey Hi!! I am Simi..urself?" Ria looks back and a charming girl greets her. She rejoice, relieved.And from then Ria and Simi are best buddies.
Both doing wonders in the class, people are jealous of their friendship. Not a moment goes when they dont talk or laugh together.After school there are long conversations over the phone , evry doubt is getting cleared, evry gossip is being shared. Days pass, Ria-Simi buddy becomes famous in school.
Ria is a short girl , average looks, Simi a tall and beautiful girl. These innocent kids dont care about there difference in looks or for that matter one being hindu and the other muslim. The friendship grows.. years pass, they are now in high school.
Teachers ask Ria about Simi and Simi about Ria. They seem to complement each other.Their friendship is taken as n example.
Be it evryday curiculum, sports, exams, competitions. Ria-Simi are the ones to lead always. They just dont care about others, which pays back later.
Life cant be a bed of roses. Some classmates envy this friendship. And Simi is being fed with harsh feelings for Ria.It was after the summer breaks . The class enters their new 8th std room. RIa looks all around for simi. She is not there.Simi has not come back from her Mecca trip and will join school after 15 days. Ria longs for her. 15 days pass, and there enters simi. Ria a broad smile on her face :)
But, Simi nevr came to her. Never said a "HI", nevr even looked at her. She has other friends waiting for her. They move out together. Ria all alone sullen and dull sits all day in the room wondering wats the problem.
The day nevr came when Ria could talk to SImi abt it. It seemed they nevr knew each other :(. Ria goes home and cries whole day. Parents are worried what could have happened. There is now no one to talk to Ria in school. Simi is seen enjoying all the laugh and fun with others.
Ria cant concentrate in her studies. She wants to know what happened. She feels cheated and betrayed. Then her sister concoles her, gives her courage and becomes a support for her. Ria now goes to school just for studies. There is no fun only books for her.She concentrates in her studies. The world around doesnot matter for Ria.
That was the day and its today, Ria doesnot make close friends. She is scared to get cheated again.Trust is all lost.
Shouldn't Ria get to know wat was the reason or for that matter why did their friendship break??
Such childhood incident leaves a dark scar all the life. Ria has turned reserved by nature. She just cant trust people.
This even made Ria strong enough to judge people. She doesnot let anyone take advantage of her.
Ria and Simi has lost contact . Their lives are going on , but I am sure the day will come when some questions will get answered.

Is this fiction, observation or experience? If its fiction or observation, u hv done a great job..but i have a doubt dat its experience...if yes, then again u have done a good job of not letting it be seen all these years..(7!!)

Having experienced something similar(and then returned the favour to my supposed "friends"), I have a doubt that this cannot be pure fiction.I'll prod no further because I'm sure you've written everything you wanted people to know about.
A nice depiction of emotions and though I am reluctant when it comes to reading emotional posts(as I proudly consider myself a stone hearted, emotionless bastard), just could not help reading and commenting.
I am sure you can do better than one post a month policy!
